THE DUBAI EDIT · SEPTEMBER 2026
PEOPLE'S CHOICE · THE AWARD LISTS, DATED · CHECKED 20 SEPTEMBER 2026

Dubai's most-awarded hotels, with the list, the category and the year on every line

Seventeen hotels that won something attributable in 2025 or 2026: the World Travel Awards, Forbes Travel Guide, the World’s 50 Best Hotels, Condé Nast Traveler’s readers, the MICHELIN Keys. No Tripadvisor, no star ratings of our own, and the two big lists that named no Dubai hotel at all.

‘People’s choice’ on most sites means a Tripadvisor badge. We could not use one: Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best 2026 named no Dubai hotel in any release we could reach, and neither did Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best 2026. So this page is built from the lists that did name Dubai hotels, with the year and the category quoted, and nothing added. The World Travel Awards for the Middle East in 2025 and 2026, Forbes Travel Guide’s 2026 ratings, the World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026, Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice 2025 where the winners’ own releases disclosed a rank, and the MICHELIN Keys awarded in October 2025.

What the lists agree on: Jumeirah Al Naseem is the Middle East’s Leading Hotel two years running and Forbes Five-Star. Atlantis The Palm is the region’s Leading Resort two years running. Atlantis The Royal is fourth in the world on the 50 Best list. Where they disagree, or where a hotel appears on one list and none of the others, the card shows exactly that and you can weigh it yourself.

One caution. An award is a snapshot. Atlantis The Royal’s fourth place in the world was awarded in a year its pool deck has been closed since April and three of its restaurants are paused. The card says both things.

How to read this page

  • Room counts are the operator's where the operator publishes one. Marriott, Hilton, Bulgari, Dorchester, Kempinski and Four Seasons pages refused our requests, so those figures come from press releases and are marked.
  • Status was checked on 20 September 2026. Amber means the operator's page could not be read this week and the hotel is presumed open.
  • Photographs appear only where we hold an independently licensed image of the property. The rest are text cards; we do not use marketing photography.
  • Awards show the list, the category and the year. A rating from another platform is that platform's, never ours.
  • Links go to the hotel's own site, or to our full profile where one exists.
  • Condé Nast Traveler ranks are partial: only what the winning hotels' own releases disclosed. The full list was not readable this week.

The seventeen, in the order the lists rank them

Two years of the World Travel Awards first, then Forbes, then the World’s 50 Best, then Condé Nast’s partial ranks, then the MICHELIN Keys. A hotel on several lists appears once with all of them.

Press and prior research agree it is the island's default family resort because the waterpark and aquarium remove the transport problem, at the cost of crowds and a small-town scale. Thin on independent 2026 reviews: 2 of 2 sources note the restaurant pauses as the current caveat.

Eat on site: FZN by Bjorn Frantzen, Hakkasan, Ossiano, Brasserie Frantzen (paused Apr 2026), Seafire Steakhouse. Note: World Travel Awards’ Middle East’s Leading Resort in 2025 and 2026. Ossiano is closed with bookings from 3 December 2026, Brasserie Frantzén is paused, Hakkasan reopens 23 September; FZN, Nobu, Milos, Carbone and Bread Street Kitchen trade normally. Aquaventure is the reason families book it.

Questions readers ask

Which is the most awarded hotel in Dubai?

Jumeirah Al Naseem: the World Travel Awards' Middle East's Leading Hotel in both 2025 and 2026, and Forbes Five-Star. For resorts, Atlantis The Palm, the region's Leading Resort both years.

Which Dubai hotels are on the World's 50 Best Hotels 2026 list?

Atlantis The Royal at number four and Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab at number fifteen.

Which Dubai hotels are Forbes Five-Star in 2026?

Forbes Travel Guide's 2026 list includes Jumeirah Al Naseem and adds Grosvenor House as the only new Dubai Five-Star; the full Dubai Five-Star roster is on Forbes' destination page, linked from the cards.

Why is there no Tripadvisor ranking here?

Because Tripadvisor's 2026 Best of the Best releases named no Dubai hotel that we could attribute, and we do not republish platform scores in any case.

What are the MICHELIN Keys?

The MICHELIN Guide's hotel distinction, first awarded in the UAE on 11 October 2025. The Bulgari holds two keys; several hotels on this page hold one.
