One&Only Royal Mirage is not one hotel. It is three, sharing a beach and a name, and the section you book changes the stay more than the choice of hotel does.

The three sections are The Palace, the original and largest at 452 rooms and suites; Arabian Court, the middle tier at 167; and the Residence & Spa, the smallest and most exclusive at 52. Together that is 671 rooms on one beachfront estate in Al Sufouh, on the mainland coast rather than on Palm Jumeirah.
Almost every guide treats this as a single property with one verdict. That is the mistake. A Residence & Spa booking is a 52-room adults-focused hotel with a private pool and personalised host service. A Palace booking is a large classic resort. They cost different amounts and they feel entirely different.
Three separate resorts sharing one beach and one name, and the section you book matters more than the hotel you book. The Palace is the large classic option, Arabian Court the middle, and the 52-room Residence & Spa is a small adults-focused hotel hiding inside a big resort. Most coverage treats it as one property. It is not.
Book it if
- You want a mainland beach address with faster access to Dubai Marina than the Palm allows
- You want an adults-only stay: several Residence & Spa and Rooftop categories are adults only
- You want mature gardens and low-rise Arabian architecture rather than towers
- Families who want interconnecting rooms: the 50 sqm Deluxe Room interconnects and sleeps four
Look elsewhere if
- You want the newest thing in Dubai. This resort opened in 1999 and reads as classic rather than current
- You want a Palm Jumeirah address specifically
- Entry room size is your priority, at 50 sqm against 65 sqm at One&Only The Palm
- You dislike resorts large enough to need internal navigation, at 671 rooms across three sections
The three sections,
and which to book.
The Palace, 452 rooms. The original 1999 resort. Old-world Arabian interiors, cream and gold with turquoise, olive and ochre accents, carved arches and mosaics. It is the largest, the most family-tolerant and usually the cheapest way in.
Arabian Court, 167 rooms. The middle section, and the physical link between the other two. Carved wooden headboards and mosaics. Arabian Court guests get access to the One&Only Spa and the traditional Oriental Hammam in the Residence, which is the single most useful thing to know about this section.
The Residence & Spa, 52 rooms. The reason to care about this resort. A small hotel inside a large one, with its own private pool set among gazebos, dedicated staff and several adults-only room categories. If you want an adults-only luxury stay in Dubai, this is a serious candidate and it is rarely named as one.
The rooms,
category by category.
| Room | Size | Sleeps | Beds | View | Outdoor space | What it buys you |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Deluxe Room | 50 sqm | 4 guests | King or twin | Sea and garden | Private terrace | Entry category. Interconnects, which makes it the practical family booking |
| Rooftop Suite | 85 sqm | 2 guests, adults only | King | Sea and garden | Grand terrace | Adults only, and the best value route into a terrace suite |
| Junior Suite, The Residence | 85 sqm | 2 guests, adults only | King | Sea and garden | Private balcony | Inside the 52-room Residence & Spa, the quietest part of the resort |
| Executive Suite, The Residence | 118 sqm | 2 guests, adults only | King | Sea and garden | Terrace | Personalised host service and access to the Residence private pool |
| Executive Suite, Arabian Court | 125 sqm | 4 guests | King | Garden | Larger terrace | Interconnects with a Deluxe Room, which is the strongest large-family configuration here |
| Prince Suite | 145 sqm | 4 guests | King | Sea and garden | Private terrace | Oversized living space for a family that wants suite scale |
Families should book a Deluxe Room at 50 sqm, which interconnects and is rated for four, or an Arabian Court Executive Suite at 125 sqm, which interconnects with a Deluxe Room and is the strongest large-family configuration on the estate.
Couples should look at the Rooftop Suite at 85 sqm, adults only, with a grand terrace. It is the cheapest route into a terrace suite here.
The Residence Executive Suite at 118 sqm is adults only and comes with personalised host service and the Residence private pool. That combination is closer to a small luxury hotel than to a resort suite.
Note the pattern: several of the best categories here are adults only. Check occupancy rules before booking if you are travelling with children.

We have not published an indicative nightly band for this property. We could estimate one, and competitors do, but we do not have a dated source for it and our standard is not to guess at money. The comparison table on this site shows the gap rather than hiding it. It will be filled at the next update.

Dining, and
the Colagreco question.
Sixteen restaurants and bars across the three sections. That is the practical dividend of a 671-room estate, and it is the strongest argument for Royal Mirage over any smaller resort in this set.
| Restaurant | Cuisine | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Celebrities | Fine dining, menus created by three-Michelin-star chef Mauro Colagreco | Open |
| Beach Bar & Grill | South American, also by Mauro Colagreco | Open |
| Eauzone | Pan-Asian, set between the palms and the pools | Open |
| Tagine | Moroccan | Open |
| Olives | Mediterranean | Open |
| Sixteen restaurants and bars in total across the three sections | Various | Confirm individual outlets directly |
Two restaurants carry Mauro Colagreco’s name. Celebrities is the fine-dining room, with menus created by him, and the Beach Bar & Grill serves his South American cooking in a far more relaxed setting. Having both on one estate is unusual, and it means you can eat his food twice in a stay at two very different price points.
Eauzone is the room most guests remember: pan-Asian, set between the palms and the pools, and the easiest table here to recommend without reservation.
Tagine and Olives cover Moroccan and Mediterranean respectively, and matter because they make a long stay viable without leaving.
Confirm individual outlets before you travel. Sixteen venues across three sections means some operate seasonally.
The hammam,
and who can use it.
The Health and Beauty Institute brings together the One&Only Spa, the traditional Oriental Hammam, a beauty centre and a fitness centre. The Oriental Hammam runs seven treatments, including the Royal Hammam and the Hammam Rose Ritual.
The access rule is the thing to know. The hammam and spa sit inside the Residence & Spa, and Arabian Court guests have access to them. If a traditional hammam is part of why you are booking, that access rule should decide which section you choose, and it is not something booking platforms make clear.
Beyond the spa: four swimming pools across the estate and a kilometre of private beach, which is a genuinely long stretch by Dubai standards.
Where it is,
and why that is an advantage.
Al Sufouh, on the mainland Jumeirah coast. This is the practical argument for Royal Mirage over any Palm Jumeirah resort: you are not on an island, so Dubai Marina is ten to fifteen minutes rather than twenty to twenty-five, and you avoid the single access route onto the Palm.
| From the property to | Typical driving time | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai International Airport (DXB) | 30 to 40 minutes | Published guidance, not independently measured |
| Dubai Marina | 10 to 15 minutes | Off-peak driving, not independently measured |
| Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall | 25 to 35 minutes | Off-peak driving, not independently measured |

What reviewers
consistently report.
Sampled on 19 September 2026. We read 1 published firsthand reviews in full, listed at the foot of this panel, and recorded each platform's own rating. Themes below are counted by how many of those sources raised them. We reproduce no review text and we do not present any platform's score as ours. Individual guest reviews on Tripadvisor and Booking.com were not machine-readable to us; where a theme comes from guest reporting surfaced in search results rather than a review we read in full, it says so.

Where our sources disagree
Our single firsthand source records no criticisms at all. We are reporting that as a gap in our evidence rather than as a finding about the hotel. A wholly positive review tells you less than a mixed one, and one source cannot establish a pattern. Until we have widened this sample, treat the strengths above as indicative and the absence of complaints as unproven.
Reviews we read for this panel
| Source | What they experienced | When |
|---|---|---|
| Marta D. Travels | Firsthand stay; section and room category not stated | Date not stated |
| Expedia guest rating | Aggregate of 760 guest reviews | Recorded 19 September 2026 |
We are not going to pretend this is a strong evidence base. One firsthand review that records no criticisms at all cannot establish a pattern, and we have said so in the panel rather than dressing seven positives up as a verdict.
What it does support, read alongside 760 reviews behind Expedia’s 9.4, is the specific claim this profile rests on: that a 671-room estate spread across three sections and four pools does not feel crowded in the way a single-tower resort of similar size does. Both the beach and the pools are described as uncrowded. That is consistent with the physical layout, and it is the practical difference between this resort and Atlantis.
Three alternatives
worth comparing.
One&Only The Palm. The same operator on a private Palm peninsula, newer in feel, with a 65 sqm entry room against 50 sqm here. Our head-to-head is the direct comparison.
Bulgari Resort Dubai. If the Residence & Spa appeals because it is small and quiet, Bulgari is the whole hotel built that way, at 101 rooms.
Atlantis, The Palm. The opposite choice, and the right one if a waterpark decides your trip.
Questions
readers actually ask.
What is the difference between The Palace, Arabian Court and the Residence & Spa?
They are three sections of one beachfront estate. The Palace is the original and largest at 452 rooms. Arabian Court is the middle section at 167 rooms and its guests have access to the spa and hammam. The Residence & Spa is the smallest and most exclusive at 52 rooms, with its own private pool, dedicated staff and several adults-only categories.
Is One&Only Royal Mirage on Palm Jumeirah?
No. It is in Al Sufouh, on the mainland Jumeirah coast. That gives it faster access to Dubai Marina than Palm Jumeirah resorts have, and it avoids the Palm's single access route.
Is One&Only Royal Mirage adults only?
Not as a whole, but several categories are, including the Rooftop Suite and the Residence Junior and Executive Suites. Check occupancy rules for your chosen category before booking with children.
Which section should families book?
A Deluxe Room at 50 sqm, which interconnects and sleeps four, or an Arabian Court Executive Suite at 125 sqm, which interconnects with a Deluxe Room.
