The most common complaint about luxury hotels in Dubai is that they are enormous. Bulgari Resort Dubai has 101 rooms. That single number is most of the review.

For scale: Atlantis, The Palm has 1,544 rooms and suites, Atlantis The Royal has 795, and One&Only Royal Mirage has 671 across three sections. Bulgari has 101, plus 20 standalone villas, on a man-made island called Jumeira Bay connected to the Jumeirah coast by a causeway.
The design is by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, who designed the other Bulgari hotels, and the resort reads as Italian rather than Emirati. Every single room and suite has a private balcony or terrace, which is unusual anywhere and rare at this scale. Breakfast is included.
The smallest serious luxury hotel in Dubai and, for that reason, the clearest answer to the complaint people make about the city's resorts. 101 rooms against 1,544 at Atlantis, The Palm. Every room has a private balcony, every guestroom is 53 sqm plus a 15 sqm terrace, and breakfast is included. It is also expensive, and it is quiet by design.
Book it if
- You want luxury without crowds. At 101 rooms this is roughly one fifteenth the size of Atlantis, The Palm
- Italian design matters to you: the resort is by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel
- You want a private island address with a marina and a yacht club
- Outdoor space matters: every category pairs an interior with a substantial private terrace
Look elsewhere if
- You are travelling with children who want a waterpark. There is a kids club and a children's pool, but no large attractions
- You want value. This is among the highest nightly rates in the city
- You want to be walkable to Dubai's attractions. Jumeira Bay is an island and everything is a drive
- You want scale and spectacle, which this resort deliberately avoids
The scale argument,
in one table.
This is the comparison that explains the rate. Put the city’s better-known luxury resorts side by side on size and the position becomes obvious.
| Property | Entry room | Rooms in the resort | Character |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bulgari Resort Dubai | 53 sqm plus a 15 sqm terrace | 101 | Smallest and quietest of the group, private island |
| One&Only The Palm | 65 sqm | Low-rise, private peninsula | Calm, Moorish-Andalusian, no spectacle |
| Atlantis The Royal | 55–60 sqm | 795 | Contemporary tower, currently missing its rooftop pool |
| One&Only Royal Mirage | 50 sqm | 671 across three sections | Classic, mature gardens, an adults-only section inside it |
| Atlantis, The Palm | 45–47 sqm | 1,544 | Waterpark resort, busiest of the group |
Bulgari is not the largest room on this list. It is 53 sqm plus a 15 sqm terrace, which places it mid-table on interior space and near the top once outdoor space is counted. What it is, decisively, is the smallest property, and that is what you are buying.
The rooms,
category by category.
| Room | Size | Sleeps | Beds | View | Outdoor space | What it buys you |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Guestroom | 53 sqm plus 15 sqm terrace | 2 guests | King or two queens | Marina or beach | Private balcony | Entry category. Every room in the resort has a balcony |
| Junior Suite | 80 sqm plus 25 sqm terrace | 2 guests | King | Skyline or Arabian Gulf | Private terrace | The first real jump in living space |
| Executive Suite | 105 sqm plus 30 sqm terrace | 2 guests | King | Skyline or sea | Private terrace | Large master bedroom and a separate living area |
| Bvlgari Suite | 120 sqm plus 60 sqm terrace | 2 guests | King | Full sea view | Wrap-around terrace | Separate powder room, marble bathroom and a two-person hydromassage on the terrace |
| Bvlgari Villa | One to three bedrooms | Varies | Varies | Beach or skyline | Private swimming pool and parking | 20 standalone villas; the beach-facing row has its own beach access |
The terrace is the story in every category. A 53 sqm guestroom comes with 15 sqm outside; the Bvlgari Suite pairs 120 sqm inside with 60 sqm outside. The resort describes the balcony as a second living room, and the room sizes bear that out.
The villas are a different product. Twenty standalone villas of one to three bedrooms, each with its own pool and parking, in two rows facing either the beach or the skyline. The beach-facing row has private beach access. If you are travelling as a group, price these against two or three suites before assuming the suites are cheaper.
There is no bad view. Every accommodation faces the marina or the beach.
What the rate includes,
and who should not pay it.
Included in the room rate
- Breakfast
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
- Private balcony or terrace with every room and suite
- La Spiaggia beach club, with a private beach, mosaic outdoor pool and 13 private cabanas
- The main resort pool, with 18 cabanas
- Little Gems Kids Club and a children's pool
Costs extra
- Spa treatments. The spa runs to about 1,700 square yards with a hammam, a 25-metre indoor pool and a vitality pool modelled on the Baths of Caracalla
- Yacht club and marina services, on a 50-berth private marina
- Dining, which is priced at the top of the Dubai market
- Airport transfers
- Dubai tourism dirham, charged per room per night at the property
Indicatively USD 690 to 1,300 per night, higher for suites and villas Range reported by booking platforms, two adults with breakfast, before tax and the Dubai tourism dirham. Indicative, not a live quote. Checked 19 September 2026.
Breakfast is included, which matters more at this rate than it sounds, and the Wi-Fi is complimentary. Beyond that, this is a property where dining and spa are priced at the very top of the Dubai market.
Who should not book it. Anyone travelling with children who want attractions. There is a Little Gems Kids Club and a children’s pool at the beach club, but no waterpark and no aquarium, and the atmosphere assumes quiet throughout. A family that would use Aquaventure daily is spending roughly double at Bulgari for a worse trip.

Dining, and
two Michelin stars.
Il Ristorante – Niko Romito has held two Michelin stars in the Dubai guide since 2022, and it is the single strongest reason to visit this resort even if you are not staying.
| Restaurant | Cuisine | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Il Ristorante - Niko Romito | Italian, two Michelin stars since 2022 | Open |
| La Spiaggia | Beach club restaurant | Open |
| Il Cafe | All-day Italian cafe | Open |
| Bvlgari Yacht Club | Mediterranean, over the marina | Open |
Romito runs the Bulgari group’s Italian restaurants in Beijing, Shanghai, Milan, Paris, Tokyo and Rome, and the Dubai room follows the same template: precise modern Italian, much of the produce flown in from Italy, with pasta and fish the consistent highlights. The terrace overlooks the marina and is the table to request between November and March.
Beyond it, the range is deliberately small: a beach club restaurant at La Spiaggia, an all-day Italian cafe, and the Bulgari Yacht Club over the marina. Four venues in total against sixteen at One&Only Royal Mirage.
Price accordingly. Dining here sits at the very top of the Dubai market, and a resort this size does not offer a cheap alternative on site.
The beach club, the spa
and one correction.
La Spiaggia is the beach club, and it is a destination in its own right: a private beach, a mosaic-design outdoor pool, thirteen private cabanas, a children’s pool, the Little Gems Kids Club, a pool bar and the La Spiaggia restaurant.
The main resort pool carries eighteen cabanas, finished in hand-laid emerald Bisazza mosaic. At 101 rooms, cabana availability is a materially different proposition here than at a resort with 1,544.
The spa runs to roughly 1,700 square yards and includes a hammam, a 25-metre indoor pool, a vitality pool modelled on the Baths of Caracalla, a fitness centre and a beauty salon with a traditional barbershop. It is chargeable.
The Yacht Club was the first Bulgari yacht club anywhere and sits on a 50-berth private marina. Jumeira Bay itself is a man-made island cut into the shape of a seahorse, joined to the coast by a bridge of roughly 984 feet.
Where it is,
and what that costs you.
Jumeira Bay is an island off the Jumeirah coast, reached by causeway. It is closer to Downtown Dubai and the airport than Palm Jumeirah is, and further from Dubai Marina.

What reviewers
consistently report.
Sampled on 19 September 2026. We read 1 published firsthand reviews in full, listed at the foot of this panel, and recorded each platform's own rating. Themes below are counted by how many of those sources raised them. We reproduce no review text and we do not present any platform's score as ours. Individual guest reviews on Tripadvisor and Booking.com were not machine-readable to us; where a theme comes from guest reporting surfaced in search results rather than a review we read in full, it says so.

Where our sources disagree
Our single firsthand source is entirely positive and records no shortcomings. That is a weak basis for a verdict, and we would rather say so than manufacture balance. Note also that this is the second-highest platform rating in our set, at 9.6, on the smallest review base, at 136. Small review bases move more easily than large ones, so treat the gap between this and a 1,627-review score as less meaningful than it looks.
Reviews we read for this panel
| Source | What they experienced | When |
|---|---|---|
| Luxury Lifestyle Magazine | The 120 sqm Bvlgari Suite | Date not stated |
| Michelin Guide | Il Ristorante - Niko Romito, two stars | Dubai guide, current |
| Expedia guest rating | Aggregate of 136 guest reviews | Recorded 19 September 2026 |
A wholly positive single review is weak evidence and we have flagged it as such in the panel. The more useful observation is about the numbers themselves.
Bulgari’s 9.6 rests on 136 reviews. Atlantis, The Palm’s 9.4 rests on 1,627. A score built on 136 moves far more easily than one built on 1,627, so the two-tenths between them means considerably less than it appears to. Small luxury properties tend to score higher partly because they are small, and partly because the people who book them have self-selected for exactly what they offer.
The pattern across our five properties is consistent on that point: the two smallest, this one and One&Only The Palm, carry the two highest ratings. That is a real signal about the relationship between scale and satisfaction, and it is the argument this profile is built on.
Three alternatives
worth comparing.
One&Only Royal Mirage, Residence & Spa. The closest thing in Dubai to Bulgari’s proposition at a likely lower rate: 52 rooms, private pool, adults-only categories, inside a larger estate.
One&Only The Palm. Quiet, low-rise and on a private peninsula, with a larger 65 sqm entry room and a lower starting rate.
Atlantis The Royal. The opposite purchase, and worth comparing precisely because it is: scale, spectacle and included attractions.
Questions
readers actually ask.
How many rooms does Bulgari Resort Dubai have?
101 rooms and suites, plus 20 standalone villas. That makes it far smaller than Dubai's other headline luxury resorts, which is the main reason to choose it.
Is breakfast included at Bulgari Resort Dubai?
Yes. Breakfast is included and Wi-Fi is complimentary.
How big are the rooms at Bulgari Resort Dubai?
Guestrooms are 53 sqm plus a 15 sqm terrace. Junior Suites are 80 sqm plus 25 sqm, Executive Suites 105 sqm plus 30 sqm, and the Bvlgari Suite 120 sqm plus a 60 sqm wrap-around terrace.
Is Bulgari Resort Dubai suitable for children?
There is a Little Gems Kids Club and a children's pool at the La Spiaggia beach club, so children are provided for. But there is no waterpark and no aquarium, and the resort is built around quiet. Families wanting activity are better served by either Atlantis property.
Where is Bulgari Resort Dubai?
On Jumeira Bay, a man-made island off the Jumeirah coast reached by a causeway. It is closer to Downtown Dubai and the airport than Palm Jumeirah, and further from Dubai Marina.
