The best restaurants in Ras Al Khaimah, including the two that are closed until the weather cools

Ras Al Khaimah’s restaurant scene is a resort scene with two exceptions, and both exceptions are closed as we write. Farmhouse by Syrco at the Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi is the emirate’s first and only Gault&Millau toque, awarded in the 2026 guide; it shut for refurbishment on 27 July and its owners say it reopens on 21 September, while the hotel’s page says October. 1484 by Puro, the dining room at the top of Jebel Jais, closes with the whole mountain every summer and had not reopened. Both are on the list because both are worth the wait, and both cards are red.

The rest is the coast. Al Hamra has the Waldorf’s Lexington and Umi, Sofitel’s Waka; Mina Al Arab has Anantara’s Mekong and the InterContinental’s Levant & Nar; Al Marjan has the Mövenpick’s Ula and the DoubleTree’s Sanchaya; the Cove Rotana has Basilico. They are hotel restaurants, licensed, priced for hotel guests, and the best of them are good enough to leave your own hotel for. Eayshat Awal in the old market is the antidote: Emirati home cooking for a tenth of the price.

Prices are our estimate from menus except where the local magazine WOW RAK published a figure; MICHELIN does not cover the emirate and Gault&Millau’s 2026 guide rates only Farmhouse. A Zuma has appeared on the Ritz-Carlton’s dining page; we could not confirm it anywhere else, and its card says so.
