Luxury Verdict Editorial

Every page currently published here carries this shared byline. It is a research desk, not a pen name for a traveller who has been to these hotels.

01

Who writes
under this byline.

Luxury Verdict is a small research desk. Pages are built by reading operator disclosures, planning and licensing records, dated independent reporting and primary booking systems, then writing a verdict from what those sources support.

The byline is shared because the work is shared and because no individual here has stayed at the properties described. Attaching a personal name to a page assembled from documents would imply an experience nobody had. Every page therefore carries the Researched guide label.

02

Where AI is used,
and where it is not.

AI assists with structure, drafting and cross-checking one source against another. It does not decide what is true.

No figure reaches a page from a model. Room counts, opening dates, Michelin distinctions, prices and closure status are taken from a named source with a date, and where two sources disagree the disagreement is published instead of resolved by guesswork. AI never supplies a sensory observation, a quote, a review score or a claim about a visit. Those are the things it would be easiest to fabricate, so they are the things it is not allowed to touch.

03

When a personal name
will appear.

A named byline appears when a named person has been there. Firsthand reviews will carry the writer, the visit date, the exact room or table booked, and whether the stay was paid for or hosted.

Until then the shared byline is the honest answer, and the absence of a personal name on a hotel page is information rather than an oversight.

04

Corrections reach
this desk.

Errors are corrected on the page with a dated notice rather than edited away. Operators who find their property described inaccurately are read and answered; a fair criticism will not be removed, but a wrong fact always will be. The standard this desk works to is set out in the review methodology, and commercial relationships are listed under disclosure.
